Far East Cable Challenges a New Height in the Power Industry
Recently, Qinghai-Henan ±800kV UHV DC Transmission Project has started power supply. With the rapid development of new infrastructure, Far East Cable has attracted full attention with its "ultimate products and services," helping to complete key national projects successfully.
Early this year, State Grid issued several documents to strongly support UHV projects' construction, the highlight of the "new infrastructure." According to the State Grid's preliminary arrangement, an investment of RMB450 Billion will be made, of which RMB181.1Billion will be invested in UHV projects, driving RMB 360 Billion of social investment and RMB 54.1 Billion in the overall scale.
With the construction of the UHV power transmission project of State Grid, the application of large cross-section cable is increasing. Meanwhile, after implementing the "Belt and Road" initiative, the demand for this excellent long-distance transmission conductor is getting bigger. However, the line loss of UHV lines is massive, and corona is easy to occur. It not only consumes a lot of electric energy but also severely affects the ecological environment with radio interference and audible noise.

Since 2006, Far East has participated in the construction of China's first UHV power transmission project, Southeast Shanxi-Nanyang-Jingmen 1000 kV UHV AC Test Demonstration Project. This project is an essential measure for implementing the national "Belt and Road" construction and a critical plan for the implementation of the "West-to-East Power Transmission Project."
